Knocked out

leave a comment »

Is it just me or is that picture everywhere now?

I got knocked out by a soccer ball today, the ball hit me in the jaw, ” Just like a boxer” my sport’s teacher said. I was fine at first but then my vision got blurry and I couldn’t see for about 5 seconds and I was dizzy. My friend took me to the nurses office and apparently my blood pressure dropped so she lifted my legs and gave me an alcohol soaked cotton ball.
I’m fine but she called my parents to let them know and when I got home my dad took me to the ER and my doctor turned out to be George Clooney! I’m kidding, it was a middle-aged man, who after I told the story of how I hit my head for the tenth time left saying he wasn’t a neurologist. Then the neurologist came and he made me do al sorts of things, some very similar to the ones policemen make you do if they think you are drunk. At the end he concluded I was fine and prescribed some muscle relaxers anyway. I tried to tell my dad that this was a close call so to avoid any in the future it would be best if I didn’t play any sports for the remaining of the school year. He grinned and said “Nice try”

Japanese Horror Stories

leave a comment »

Yesterday my friends and I had a history study session and after we were done my bestie stayed behind and we started to fool around and do nothing, we’re both major horror junkies and she told me that she had read about these japanese stories that were supposed to be really scary. We looked them up on YouTube and they are really scary. Last night I couldn’t sleep and I was tempted to crawl into my mom’s bed like when I was 4. These are some of the scariest.

The Visitor

The Music Box

The Stink

The Full-lenght Mirror

Sleepy Eyes ( This one isn’t all that scary, is more matrix-like )

What I learned after watching all these shorts was that EVERY japanese girl has bangs, even the female ghosts and that you need to pay attention to signs, like if someone doesn’t tell you their name or doesn’t answer when you talk to them you move on and don’t look back.

Never Crash An Embassy Party

leave a comment »

There was lots, I mean LOTS, of booze and insanely good food but those two things don’t make up for the elevator music/smooth jazz and how boring the party was. All the guest are old diplomats or youngish diplomat sons and they’re no fun. A couple of guys who were pretty easy on the eyes were giving me and my friends the eye, but I’m still hung up on my teacher ( who was there, looking awesome in a suit, with his wife) sooooo I wasn’t to eager to go and talk to them and my friends were just too shy.
The party was held in the ambassador’s house, in his garden to be precise, and do you know what happens when you wear heels on a mushy lawn? The heel of the shoe sinks into the ground. Needless to say my shoes are covered in mud. But even though the party was a major snooze and having to watch my teacher with his wife I had fun. I really liked getting all dressed up and behaving like a lady. Plus the ambassador is friends with the funniest people and he makes some good jokes too.

Embassy

leave a comment »

I’m going to a plastic factory tomorrow and to the German embassy on Friday and… (wait for it) I have nothing to wear. It’s not the typical “I have nothing to wear” dilemma every girl faces every time she goes to a party, I don’t have a closet full of things I could wear to this. This is an adult party, I have to dress accordingly. All my skirts are out, because they are all short, above the knee or higher. My dresses are out too, they’re either too laid back or too revealing. I have never felt THIS self-conscious about my wardrobe before. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with my hair or my make up. Should I wear make up? I am not ready to attend and adult party, it’s not even a party it’s a lunch, brunch, whatever it is it’s over at 4 pm and my friends and I are going to go to the movies after.
I’ve raided my mom’s closet and she has nothing I like or that fits me. And I don’t want to buy a dress for this, I’m already broke.

ANTM Winners at Forever 21

leave a comment »

I was online shopping the other day  and the girl wearing some funky dress at the Forever 21 website seemed familiar. It was Nicole Linkletter the ANTM Cycle 5 winner.

Apparently she’s married to some guy named  Philip Clarke White and she’s going to college.

I have to admit that a big part of why I bought that flannel shirt was because she was modeling it.

There was also a picture of Whitney Thompson

And there was this  Agyness Deyn look a like

Over

leave a comment »

I’m over fashion week, I’m over fashion (but I still like clothes), I’m over studying ( sadly I still have one exam left and I’m guessing it’s not going to go very well), I’m over school and I want it to end but it’s not going to until late november, I’m over learning and pretending I care, I’m over partying, I’m over music, I can’t even listen to an entire 2 minute song without  getting bored, and I’m over my classmates. I’m over pretty much everything. But it’s temporary, I’m sure  very soon I’ll be into everything again.

Vena Cava can do it

leave a comment »

The moment I saw Vena Cava’s designs I  thought of this poster. Not just because of the overalls, the scarf tied around her head or her color palette ( there’s     a  lot of red, blue, black and yellowish tones), but because there’s a sense of female empowerment in her collection. Maybe it’s the shoulder pads…  I’m a           little tired and I have to go to bed so I’m just gong to post what I liked about it.

I was os excited to see red and I love the  color combination

I love this top

I like this dress too it’s very ” Project Runway”, and I mean that in the best way possible

The Shoulder Padsssss
