Prophylactic

Last week I read a great story in Bloowalrus’s Blog called Jeepers Creepers. I couldn’t get the main character out of my head so I thought ” Why not draw her?”. Originally I wanted to draw her on Adobe Illustrator but I’m starting to think that you need a graphics tablet for that so I did it the old fashioned way. I know I should have added something to the background but  I really liked the way I drew her and I didn’t want to mess it up (plus I don’t know how to draw a urinal (If you read the story you’ll get it)). I added the words on my computer, since I’m fairly new to it I couldn’t even figure out how to rotate the picture and it took me forever to find out how to write on the image. When I finally did I couldn’t change the color to black so it stayed on the orangey red it started with. But at least I could choose which font to use. I owe a BIG thank you to Mac Forums and to Bloowalrus too. I don’t know if this is how she pictured J, but I hope it comes close.

This is my attempt at post modern art or whatever. My dad gets this underground newspaper because he loves one of its writers  and he usually leaves it lying around the house. The other day I picked it up and decided to do the crossword puzzle but it was harder than it looked, way harder. After a few minutes I put down the pen I had in my hand and looked for a pencil. While I was looking I came across one pencil-case filled with coloring stuff and I thought that since I wasn’t going to fill in any of the slots anyway …

At first I wasn’t sure how to color the slots so I figured I should use colors that were similar to the ones in the pictures. I kind of wish the pictures had been further apart, that way the colors wouldn’t overlaps each other.
